Resmed Aerocare 10 Hose

I've had an Aerocare 10 for a while. I have a traumatic brain injury, and my CPAP makes life liveable. I have an issue that the hose apparently gets a very small kink in it (I'm blaming my kids) and what it does is that the machine won't go into the REM cycle. The problem is that not dropping into the REM is kinda the reason for having a CPAP. I really just want to be able to turn off that security function. The hose is not truly damaged but the machine is not letting it.
